{The Ordinary Moments ’17} #8 It’s not always easy, but it’s worth it.

One of the things I love about blogging is the kick up the bum it gives me to take more photo’s. I’ve been taking a family Me and Mine photo of us since January 2014 and to date, I’ve not missed a single month. Another linky that I love, is Siblings, but as Alfie was an only child until October last year it was sadly one I couldn’t join in with. However, I decided that I would aim to take a photo of Alfie and his cousins, Jack and Holly every month instead and at the end of the year, myself and my sister-in-law agreed that we would give it to their Nan and Grandad as a Christmas present. I am so, so glad we did it as they absolutely loved it.

We decided to carry it on last year, so had another year of photo’s to look back on and last year was quite special as we started the year with three children and ended with four.

It’s not always been easy, but it’s always been worth it.

Yesterday however was possibly the hardest one to date! First of all, we had to bribe Alfie to even sit on the couch and when he did he was at the opposite end so by the time he’d agreed to move up, Nate was having a full on melt down. This was our first attempt

We let the bigger ones go and play for a bit and figured we’d try again later. Nate settled down and I got some lovely pictures of him.

 Thinking that Nate had settled enough for a picture, we tried again but he was not happy! In the end, Jack had to hold his dummy in to stop him crying!

So whilst I’m a tad disappointed that these aren’t picture perfect, I know that in a few years we’ll all be able to look back at these with such fond memories and have a giggle about them.
